As an indispensable link in global trade, harboring more than 1,600 employees, the Port of Antwerp makes for fertile ground for disruptive innovation. The mix of craftspeople and office workers, boat(wo)men and front office, mobile and stationary naturally allows for vertical thinking.
Inclusion of all employees was key and we were called upon to connect people with the power of their own ideas. Innovation thrives where those ideas are nurtured, big and small.
The employees’ first taste of the project was a gift enhancing work boots and boat shoes alike, taking up both digital and physical space: bright red innoveter shoelaces. Connection from day one, everyone sees that they are an integral part of what is to come.
The supPORTer app, allows people to support the innovative ideas of their crew. It allows users to engage with the idea, supPORT it and get personally involved in the execution. Video stories, notifications, microgames, and prizes; for every audience a nudge.
Making innovation personal, we literally brought it. An interactive installation details inspiring front-runners and the shape of innovation on a MultiTaction map. We took it from dock to office and back again to create the inclusive environment people prefer to show their supPORT.
